The Tom Mahoney research materials on Pancho Villa and the Mexican Revolution comprises materials related to an unpublished book by Mahoney with the working title "P-a-n-c-h-o V-i-l-l-a: Bandit...Rebel...Patriot...Satyr," which he began working on in the late 1920s. Tom Mahoney (1905-1981) was a journalist and author. A graduate of the School of Journalism, University of Missouri, he worked as reporter and editor of several newspapers: "El Paso Post", 1927-1930, where he covered the Escobar Rebellion; United Press in Texas and Kansas, 1930-1934; and "Buffalo Times", 1934-1936.
